| To celebrate the 60th anniversary of Thunderbirds, Dee Anderson — daughter of Sylvia and Gerry Anderson — is bringing Lady Penelope back in a spectacular revival for 2025. Lady Penelope Investigates will return as a new range of books and full-cast audio plays, with Dee stepping into her mother’s iconic shoes as Lady Penelope herself. |
| Exciting news for Thunderbirds fans and lovers of classic British TV, we think you’ll agree. These projects, produced in collaboration with ITV Studios, promise to delight fans old and new. The announcement also coincides with Dee’s national tour of her one-woman show Growing Up with Thunderbirds, which will be touring the UK throughout 2025. |
The original series ran in the mid sixties.
Dee Anderson will executive produce the revival and voice Lady Penelope in the forthcoming audio plays, stepping into her mother’s famous shoes to portray the iconic character once again. On the Lady Penelope revival, Dee said: “My mother developed the shows and characters with Gerry, in particular creating the iconic characters of Lady Penelope and Parker in Thunderbirds, as well as voicing Lady Penelope, so this will be an amazing tribute to her even more so as she wrote an original treatment for ‘Lady Penelope Investigates’ several decades ago”.
A performer in her own right, Dee is currently performing her one-woman show ‘Growing up with Thunderbirds’. The production will embark on a nationwide tour across the UK throughout 2025 after debuting at London’s famous Phoenix Arts Club on May 12th.
