Lita Marylebone Announces Exclusive Spring Beaujolais Wine Lunch Celebrating the Region’s Finest Producers

Lita, the Michelin-starred neighbourhood destination in Marylebone, is delighted to announce an exclusive wine lunch in collaboration with Beaujolais wines on Friday 3rd April, dedicated to the diverse and expressive terroir of the Beaujolais region.

Following the recent news of Culinary Director Kostas Papathanasiou retaining the restaurant’s Michelin star, Lita continues to position itself as one to watch in the capital’s impressive culinary scene. This upcoming lunch will showcase a curated selection of standout bottles from the region’s most respected producers, paired with a menu designed to highlight the elegance and versatility of Gamay and Chardonnay.

This event aims to reposition Beaujolais as a wine for all seasons, moving beyond the yearly focus on Beaujolais Nouveau in November. It serves as a timely reminder that the region’s top wines offer significant depth, character and the ability to age beautifully. Spring, with its longer days and fresh seasonal ingredients, is the perfect time for wine lovers to reacquaint themselves with these exceptional expressions of Beaujolais.

Guests can expect to enjoy a sequence of Lita’s signature seasonal dishes, served family-style for the table, alongside a series of bespoke specials created exclusively for the occasion. These dishes have been thoughtfully developed to complement the specific flavour profiles of the featured wines – ranging from the mineral-driven whites of Beaujolais Blanc to the structured, age-worthy crus of Morgon and Fleurie.

The featured wine flight includes:

Mee Godard – Beaujolais Blanc 2022

Château Thivin – Côte de Brouilly “Les Griottes de Brulhié” 2023

Clos de la Roilette – Fleurie “Cuvée Tardive” 2023

Domaine Thévenet – Morgon “Centenaire” 2017

Ahead of the main event, Lita will also be offering guests selected Beaujolais wines by-the-glass as part of this month’s wine-led programme of activity.
