This is the first in a series of slim volumes about two teenage aliens and their mother who have crashed on earth and are trying to find their father before escaping back to their homeland of Sevent.
Although looking like humans their arrival has been observed and this time not discounted. Rewards are posted to find them and subtle messages saying we can help you – if you reveal yourself circulate. Against all this Finola and Zane lie low whilst their mother gets a job in a cafe to learn personal skills.
Of course being aliens they do have special powers and in this case it involves sending messages by thought transference (although with their father they are just getting the odd glimpse). They can also teleport. Just as well as one clue sends the kids to Gibraltar, called Albrigart in this version, but it has apes and a botantical garden.

At just over 110 pages this doesn’t overstay its welcome and sets things up well for the second volume.

At the end is a word search, a crossword based on the book and and a breakdown of Seventian symbols
