This board book has 5 double page spreads each introducing a new word in sign language. First there is the general picture – for example Rose putting the toothpaste on the brush and then on the right either one or two illustrations of Rose demonstrating the word.

Rose and her cat Casper have had a long day and are tired. It’s time for bed. Rose signs to Casper, well she couldn’t sign to just herself could she?

At the end is an unbreakable mirror so that you can practice your signing.

This covers the basics of the going to bed routine and is part of a BSL series (check out Rose signs Good Morning).

I ran through these with my teen daughter who had learnt Makaton over a decade ago and she really got into it.
