Back to school with Pentel

There are plenty of options here from renowned manufacturer Pentel.

One item that particularly caught our eye us the iZee which is a four colour retractable ballpopint. The colours are different depending on which of the four choices of barrel colour of the pen purchased but as an example the dark blue barrel has black, red, blue and green which is pretty standard, whilst the light blue barrel features a more exotic orange, pink, sky blue and violet. They all have a delicate honeycomb pattern on the grip area which has a nice feel to it, whilst the clip is stonger than most. The colour choices are easy to trigger. The tip is medium (1mm) and we found it to be smooth and easy to hold.

We also love the NF450 which is an extrafine permanent marker which is designed for precise writing as it features an extrafine polyacetal tip which is 1.2mm. There are 4 versions in the standard black, blue, red and green and all have a 24 hour cap off dry time.

Since the Energel 96 boasts the highest percentage of recycled material – yes you guessed 96% – we need to mention this 0.7mm ball metal point which has a quick drying ink and an octagonal shape with wavey lines at the grip point to enhance the feel. Available in black or blue.

Lastly we shouldn’t overlook the new Mattehop which has a wide range of colours (14), which are designed to bring out your artistic tendencies. They feature a highly opaque ink that looks like matte plastic when it dries. Pentel think it is great for designing cartoons and comic books. The roller is 1mm.
