CBBC’S DEN WINNER ‘DENGINEER’ TO BE CELEBRATED IN BEANO COMIC

Beano teams up with CBBC’s The Dengineers to create bespoke strip for comic-crazed child artist Stan.

Iconic British children’s entertainment brand Beano has teamed up with CBBC’s ‘The Dengineers’ to create a totally awesome comic strip for a special young artist. The show sees a team of designers create ‘dens’ for children in need of their own space. The latest recipient is eleven-year-old comic fanatic, Stan whose den will feature in the new series which airs on CBBC and BBC iPlayer from November 21.

Accomplished artist Stan is constantly creating, whether crafting comic strips or making music and short films but he desperately needed his own space to pursue his artistic passion. That’s why CBBC’s The Dengineers selected Stan as the lucky recipient of his own custom-made den. Stan’s den is HUGE – acting as his own bespoke art studio and is certainly big enough to house his unlimited creativity and big personality. The den will be full to the brim with a myriad of Stan’s works, proudly displayed alongside those of his favourite artists.

Stan is a huge fan of Beano so the team at CBBC have been working alongside Mike Stirling, Editorial Director at Beano, Craig Graham, Managing Editor at Beano and legendary illustrator Nigel Parkinson to create a bespoke comic strip to feature in the unveiling of his brand-new den. Eleven-year-old Stan from Cumbria is a big fan of drawing comedy comic strips and has been drawing since he was young. In his words “everyone draws when they’re young – I just carried on”.

The highly anticipated and personalised comic strip will also be featured in the latest issue of Beano which goes on sale 24th November.
