Commercial Airline Captain inspires new animation series

Dynamic pilot duo, Pilot Ollie and Pilot Polly are the creation of commercial airline pilot Captain Robert Johnson and are capturing kids’ imaginations with their love of travel. Following Captain Rob’s years of sharing tales from his trips abroad with his children, he was inspired by his toddlers to pen his adventures in the form of his pilot characters, which literally ‘took off’ with over 85,000 book sales from initial launch.

Rob feels fortunate to still be flying during these testing times, and in parallel his adventures are set to fly even higher with Let’s Go See available through animations, merchandise and a new activity-packed augmented-reality app which allows kids to ‘fly’ their very own JJ-1 aeroplane.

Captain Robert Johnson comments ‘I’ve been fortunate enough to experience global travel over the last 30 years as an international airline pilot, and believe in the importance of educating our little ones about our world and why it’s so special. My ambition is that Let’s Go See will entertain, educate and inspire our young people without even leaving home, with the pressures of lockdown and home schooling on many of us and with our ‘wings clipped’ in many cases, I hope Let’s Go See will provide that much needed escapism for both parents and their children.’

Let’s Go See, is currently chalking up thousands of daily views on YouTube with bite-size 7 minute episodes and tells the adventures of a group of youngsters, the ‘Junior Jets’, and their travels around the world with Pilots’ Ollie and Polly in the JJ-1. From exploring the Pyramids of Egypt to the streets of New York City, the explorative preschool show visits famous landmarks and locations in its bid to break down cultural barriers, embrace difference and inspire learning.

Welcomed by parents, Let’s Go See is packed full of ‘stealth learning’ with travel inspired facts and figures, many with a nod to the EYFS and key stage curriculum and has also won the accreditation of child research psychologist and play expert Dr. Amanda Gummer and her team at The Good Toy Guide.
