Korean TV series exploded a few years back with Squid games but the romantic comedies and drama they produce can be amongst the best in the world.
Looking for something light, charming and without too much drama – Spring Fever might be for you.
Spring Fever (2026) is a Korean romantic comedy drama following Yun Bom (Lee Joo-been), a teacher who moves to the small town of Sinsu to escape past trauma, only to find her guarded heart opening up to Seon Jae Gyu (Ahn Bo-hyun), a chaotic and charming CEO. Based on a web novel, it focuses on their blossoming romance in a quiet, rural setting.

Seon Jae Gyu makes a very engaging, unusual hero, in this light comedy . The series spends the first part trying to get the leads (Gyu and Bom) together and once that is achieved, it loses its way.
Whereas it doesn’t lean into the usual tropes, the secondary plot of Bom deciding to prove her innocence over a school scandal has no climatic ending, rather a piece of paper just handed to the heroine at the end.
However, every episode is worth watching! Even when the drama doesn’t amount to much. This has a lot to do with some well written comic moments and a fantastic turn by Ahn Bo-hyun.
Lee Joo-been is good but doesn’t get the funny scenes which this series relies on. The supporting cast is very good, especially Cha Seo Won, Cho Jun Young and Lee Jae In.
As time goes on this may become an easy one for rewatching, easily recommended.
