Perhaps one of the more controversial names in this list which includes somewhat longer lived luminaries such as Einstein, Leonardo Da Vinci and Shakespeare to name a few, I would guess she would appear closest to another subject, David Attenborough.

This slim volume (a little over 30 pages) in the Great Lives in Graphics collection has a look at he 21 year old but perhaps because she is so young does at times to be a bit thin on facts. Indeed there is a section called ‘How to be a climate warrior’ but this is basically a regurgitation of some simple things to be eco conscious rather than a manifesto.

When it does look at the subjects life history it gives us details of a diverse and quite talented family and the birth of Fridays for Future and on the darker side a list of arrests. There is also her travelling across the Atlantic in a zero carbon yacht and being nominated for a Nobel Prize.
Subjects such as net zero, famous environmentalists and the stigma of Asperger syndrome are touched upon – remember this series is basically a primer to encourage interest for greater research.
Does it reach its target audience – well my 16 year old daughter took it to bed every night.
