Visitors to Groombridge Place near Tunbridge Wells on Sunday 30 May and Monday 31 May 2021 should head to Crusoe’s World to enjoy your own pirate adventure on the wooden fort, pirate ship and rope bridges. Everyone should also keep an eye out for our two characters Peter Pan and Captain Hook who will be looking out for any ‘lost’ children along the canal path and on the pirate ship!
Groombridge Place will also be open every day in May half term with a BBQ at Crusoe’s World (subject to the weather).
Leave Crusoe’s World and head up into the forest to discover the raised board walk with its walkways, tunnels and rope swings. At the top of the forest visitors will find the giant tree swings, which are just as popular with adults as children.
They are also pleased to announce that from 19 May the popular Birds of Prey Displays will be back at Groombridge Place for all to enjoy. Performances will be at 12.30 noon and 3.30pm.
The delightful walled gardens, which were a favourite of the author Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, famed for creating the Sherlock Homes character, will be open for all to enjoy. Look out for the resident peacocks as you stroll round the attractive gardens, which overlook the impressive historic moated manor house.
A refreshment area at Crusoe’s World offers hot and cold drinks and snacks. The café near the admission office will also offer a selection of sandwiches, cakes, ice creams and hot and cold drinks.

Groombridge Place will be open from 10am until the gates close at 5pm. The attraction will be open daily in school holidays and on bank holidays and at other times from Wednesday to Sunday.
