As flowers bloom and leaves on trees start to breathe fresh new life into the landscape, longer days and warmer temperatures ensure the promise that summer is on its way. The Roof Terrace at The Sloane is getting ready to re-open on 9th May and unveil its new vibrant British/Javanese menu to celebrate al fresco dining at its finest. It will be a perfect venue to celebrate two of the summer’s most highly anticipated events: The Chelsea Flower Show and The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee with two special menus curated for each occasion. Mouthwatering Roof Terrace Menu Diners can indulge on the new Roof Terrace Menu that has a variety of light and fresh dishes celebrating British summer flavours with a delicious exotic twist from the Thai Green Papaya Salad and English Green Asparagus Ceviche to the Messy Aromatic Lemongrass Chicken Burger and Jerusalem Artichoke, Chickpea and Wild Garlic Burger. All dishes can be accompanied with a refreshing cocktail or mocktail from the mixology team such as Aperol 1919, or a glass of crisp rosé. For Londoners and visitors with a penchant for outdoor dining and drinking, The Roof Terrace at The Sloane is a luscious outdoor space lined with verdant plant walls and stylish, comfortable furniture. Canopies ensure shady spots out of the sun and heaters keep the terrace toasty once night time descends. Part of a private members club, The Sloane Club, The Roof Terrace at The Sloane is open for club members and for the first time this year, the general public until it closes at the end of summer. Every Friday night, an evening of live music takes place with the weekly Sloane Sessions where dulcet guitar tones dance in the air for guests enjoying the outside space. For a special venue for a private soirée or event for up to 80 guests, The Roof Terrace can be exclusively hired. |
Chelsea Flower Show Cocktails With ‘wild’ being the theme of this year’s Chelsea Flower Show, an appreciation of the naturalistic and the wild is also being upheld in the Chelsea Flower Show cocktail list available on The Roof Terrace at The Sloane. Concoctions include Honey Moon Sour, a drink that pays homage to the majestic bee, its importance, fragility and strength in the world, with a bittersweet blend of Monkey 47 gin, St Germain, lemon juice and honey water; Sloane Flower G&T, a gin and tonic with a violet, floral twist; and a My Hibiscus Martini, a sweet but deadly combination celebrating the power of the feminine. |
